Karate and Kobudo Sessions
Friday May 9th
Advanced Kids 5 - 6:15 pm
Kobudo 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Saturday May 10th
Advanced Kids 10:30 - 11:45 am
Kobudo 12 - 2:00 pm
Karate 3 - 5:00 pm
Sunday May 11th
Karate 10 - 12 pm
Karate 1 - 3 pm
Participants can sign up for 2 or more sessions at a time.
Karate sessions will cover a range of Uechi Ryu material including association specifi items to Ryukokaku. Kobudo sessions will cover Matayoshi Kobudo kata and other weapons within the Ryukokaku system.
Uechi Ryu Ryukokaku
The Ryukokaku Karate and Kobudo Association was created by Master Shinyu Gushi. The current 2nd generation head of the association is Master Tsukasa Gushi.
Shinyu Gushi was a student of many prominent figures of Uechi Ryu including Seiki Itokazu, Seiko Itokazu, Seiyu Shinjo, and Kanei Uechi. He was also a practitioner of Matayoshi Kobudo under Seiko Itokazu and Shinpo Matayoshi.
