Bennetts Karate Dojo - Afterschool Programs
Heather Bennett is a 4th degree black belt in Uechi Ryu Karate and a 3rd degree black belt in Matayoshi Kobudo. She teaches the youth/adult karate classes Mondays and Wednesdays, and has been training martial arts for over 12 years.
Richard Bennett is a 6th degree black belt in Uechi Ryu Karate and a 5th degree black belt in Matayoshi Kobudo (ancient weaponry). Richard runs the kids karate program at the Erie Community Center, and has been running karate classes for the Erie Rec Dept. since 2007.
Both Instructors Richard and Heather train in Okinawa, Japan extensively and are international martial arts competitors.
Something Different!
Bennetts Karate has been teaching in Erie, Colorado for over 25 years and is now offering an after-school karate program for students that are attending Aspen Ridge Preparatory School. Kids will be picked up on site after school at 3:15 pm and moved over to the Bennetts Karate Dojo across the street, located at 1010 Carbon Court, Unit F.
During their time at the dojo, students will be involved in martial arts activities each day, be able to work on homework, have snack and free time until being picked up between 5 and 5:15 pm. This program is intended for students in Kindergarten thru 6th grade. Students will have fun and be supervised in a controlled and disciplined environment by qualified martial arts instructors.

Pricing can be altered depending on students schedule in some cases. This program is not intended for day by day registration, but for students that have after-school needs on a consistent basis. 3 days per week (12 per month) registration is required, but if you register for 4 days, you can do 5 days at no additional cost.
Pick up window is 5 – 5:15 pm.

No uniforms required, but you can buy one, $55 for the set that includes, belt, patch, top and pants.
Students enrolled should have a water bottle to bring with them, and should even have loose fit clothing to change for classes. Some months are different than others due to holidays and you can register through the Bennetts Karate website.
