Black Belt Testing Prep Classes
It is decided...our Uechi Ryu fall black belt test will be held October 10, 2010. Special guest Master James Thompson, 9th degree, will be on our testing board. This will be possibly the biggest test that the Bennett family has had in Colorado, with potentially 15 testing candidates. Our black belt testing classes will begin in July. Students that plan on testing in October MUST come to these classes in order to maintain testing eligibility.
Students that plan on attending these classes, or intend on testing in October should try to contact Sensei Richard Bennett of Kyoshi Allen Bennett for information. These black belt classes will be approx. 1hr 15min, held once a week, and will cost 12$ per class or $150 for the entire session.
Class Dates
Black Belt Classese will be Fridays at the Bennetts Karate dojo from 7 - 8:15 starting July 16th.
July 16, 23, and 30
August 6, 13, 20, and 27
Sept. 3, 10, 17, and 24
Oct. 1 and 8
Matayoshi Kobudo Training Seminar
Seminar Dates: Sept. 10, 11, and 12
Seminar includes traditional Okinawan weapons training, Shorin Ryu Karate, and Goju Karate
Place: Seminar will be held a various locations including the Boulder Kodokan, Pre-eminence Hall
Seminar will feature Sensei Itokasu Seisho, who is a 9th degree black belt in Uechi Ryu Karate - Do as well as an 8th degree black belt in Matayoshi Kobudo
Adult Class Time and Day Changes
Because our black belts will need the Friday time slot for the up-coming black belt test in October, we have to move the Friday adult class to Thursdays for the time being. Starting July 16th, and up until October 8th, under black belt adult classes will be held Mon/Wed/Thurs from 7:00 - 8:15pm.
This change will be in affect for approximately 3 months. Students that will not be able to make the new Thursday time slot, or must make the Friday time slot, please contact Sensei Richard Bennett for details in order to maintain your current training schedule.
